I am still hungover and sleepless from the triad bestfriendship meeting last night. My heart is overflowing with love for my besties, Don and Jap– though mind is still overwhelmed from the sermon I got from them.

Our meeting started with pizza and coffee and with Don showing Jap a “campaign material” he did for her if she were to run for Kagawad.

“Ako po si Janice Aquino Hernandez. Ihalal niyo po ako bilang kagawad ng Better Living Subdivision. Ako po ay nagtapos ng Cosmetology minor in Underwater Aeronautics sa Harvard School of Bulacan at may ilang taon na po akong eksperiensya mula sa pagiging call girl ko sa APAC at GE. Ako po ay hardworking, honest, patient at may fleasing fersonality. Kaya ko rin pong tumulay sa miswa at magcartwheel sa magma.

Haha. Don’s crazy. Jap retaliated by telling me that Don got a hard-on when Diane, one of our college buddies took his hand and put it on her breast. FYI, Don is gay. So imagine their bickering last night about the issue. Carino brutal at its finest. As usual, I played the part of the balimbing friend. I didn’t want to take anybody’s side, ’cause it’s much fun tampering in the middle. Hehe.

After eating, we put on facial firming masks and played 90’s dance music. The challenge was to sing and dance without laughing. Paano ka naman hindi matatawa sa pagra-running man sa Ice Ice Baby, pagbabutterfly sa Always at pag-giling sa Boom Shakalak? We looked like morons dancing in the living room when we were suprised by the arrival of Ate Maroon (Jap’s sister), Erik the fiance and Erik’s little nephew who looked horrified when he saw our green faces. Errrr… “Hi kiddo! Happy Halloween!” In fairness, in fairview and in fairlane, trick or treat? We got a treat. Erik gave us a box of chocolates. Hehe.

We were talking about Donne’s project with TEDSA or Jap’s opposite sex-aversion or my call center and bpo observations when I got a message from Jim. JIIIIIIIIIIM! Our longlost friend Jaime Plaza Carlos is back from the US! Woohoo! After the 30minute-texting and giving directions, he arrived and we reminisced our Bene College days. Cutting classes and going to Tagaytay, missing friends, friends who are now married, food in our Tambayan… We talked about his life in the US and how different it was from his pampered life here. We’re glad he’s back. And we’re mighty proud that he’s still the same friend who gives us bone-crushing hugs, who makes life a little bit better and loads more fun.

J3 followed 11ish. J3 and Jim didn’t get to meet each other in Bene. J3 just transferred to Bene when Jim left for the US. Buti na lang hindi sila nag-abot. With their pang-aasar combined, my life would have been miserable back then. :p

Sandro managed to drop by 12ish. He came from a wedding in Ortigas and yea, well… he got lost for the 2nd time because of me. Champion kasi ako sa giving directions. Paired with Jap, naku, the best! Did I say he dropped by? Stay extended. Why? It’s a small world afterall. He knows Jim pala. If I remember it right, his (young) uncle is Jim’s bestfriend. Weh. As far as I know, ako ‘yung binisita. Ending, si J3 and si Jim ang kinausap. Perfect. :p

You know what’s more perfect? When J3, Jim, and Sandro left, Don gave me his opinion on something I don’t want to talk about.

Don: Bes, I don’t feel the sincerity.
Me: Does sincerity have a relevance here?
Jap: I feel otherwise.
Me: Ayos. The cynic, the player, and the hopeless romantic.

After we watched Celebrity Death Match episodes, we talked about career and love until 5am. So far, we’re all bent on our careers. Backseat na naman si Love. So, it’s ironic when Jap asked me talk to Ian (her brother’s bestfriend) about his love problems.

Haha. Advise naman ako. As if I follow my own advice. Anyhoodles, I’m not in Ian’s situation yet. But I do want to follow what I told him about being a better version before committing again.

Shempre si Jap killer hirit, “Don’t listen to Don. You’re great the way you are. It’s him who has to get his act together.”

Haha. Jap loves me. She’s so supportive of my (lack of) love life. Mwahaha. Good thing Don was sleeping on the couch when she said that. Otherwise, he’d really have Jap cartwheel on magma and walk on miswa.
