Of Waiting and Pagtingin Sa Mga Hayop

Was listening to a VCF podcast yesterday about praying and Pastor Robert said something about waiting for the perfect partner that caught my attention and tickled my funnybone.

He said (something like)…

“If you’re waiting for your perfect partner to come along, just chill. Huwag magmadali. Remember, Adam was put to sleep and when he woke up, Eve was already there. NAPAGOD MUNA SIYA SA KAKATINGIN SA MGA HAYOP bago sa kanya ibinigay si Eba.”

Wala lang. Nakakatawa lang. :p

I believe that we serve a God of perfect timings. I believe that very much. Lalo na ngayon.

Friday Five: Malulupit na Linya

Halos isang buwan akong hindi nakapagsulat. Daming ginagawa.

*WHEW*

Pakkshet. Impulsive gambling is one of my personality defects. At least, I gave them something to talk and laugh about. :p

– Archenemy Dave

Sure, I set high standards. Bakit naman hindi? Naniniwala naman ako that I deserve to be with a great person. Hindi naman perfect person ang hinahanap ko. I’m just waiting for the right person for me. At barriers?

At sa mundo ko rin, being inconsistent is a red flag behaviour.

5. “Ang puti-puti mo ngayon. Ang payat-payat mo pa!” – Gradeschool Classmate Jonah

One thing’s for sure. Ang ganda-ganda-ganda kong bata dati. Ngayon, maganda na lang. LOL

Hey you, bored person reading this… Happy Friday! I hope this weekend will not be a windang weekend for me and you.

Me: Ayoko magkaron ng baby na pitbull!!!
Him: Sige na! Please, please, please!

Me: Fine.
Me: Ah ganon? *taray mode unleashed*
Him: I LOVE YOU!!!

Forgive and Forget

Here are some of my favorite quotes about 2 of life’s most essential things- forgiveness and forgetting. 🙂

FORGIVENESS

~ Sara Paddison

“Most of us can forgive and forget; we just don’t want the other person to forget that we forgave.”
~ Ivern Ball

“You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well.”
~ Lewis Smedes

“Forgiveness is a funny thing. It warms the heart and cools the sting.”
~ William Arthur Ward

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. ”
~ Gandhi

FORGETTING

“Blessed are those who give without remembering and take without forgetting.”
~ Elizabeth Bibesco

“Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting. Not in entire forgetfulness, and not in utter nakedness, but trailing clouds of glory do we come.
~ William Wordsworth

“When suffering comes, we yearn for some sign from God, forgetting we have just had one.”
~ Mignon McLaughlin

“The trick to forgetting the big picture is to look at everything close-up.
~ Chuck Palahniuk

“This kind of forgetting does not erase memory, it lays the emotion surrounding the memory to rest.”
~ Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Faith, Hope, Love

Here are some of my favorite quotes about the three most important things in the world. 🙂

FAITH

~ Kahlil Gibran

“I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish He didn’t trust me so much.”

~ Mark Twain

HOPE

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up.”
~ Anne Lammott

“Hope is the worst of evils, for it prolongs the torment of man”
~ Friedrich Nietzsche

“When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God.”
~ Charles Allen

“Hope has two beautiful daughters. Their names are anger and courage; anger at the way things are, and courage to see that they do not remain the way they are.”
~ Augustine of Hippo

“Hope is a good breakfast but a bad supper.”
~ Francis Bacon

LOVE

“There are four questions of value in life… What is sacred? Of what is the spirit made? What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same. Only love.”
~ Johnny Depp (Don Juan de Marco, 1995)

“Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”
~ Robert Heinlein

One of the things I love Acey is his sidesplitting sense of humor.

The Window, The Vendo, The Steak

The office is an interesting place. And here are some snapshots of three of the most interesting things I saw at the BPI Buendia Center.

This isKuyang taga-linis ng windows. Nakatapat siya niyan sa desk ko. Our office is in the 7th floor, btw.

Here’s an open Nescafe vendo. The labels are in Spanish and I still can’t help but laugh a little when I see the word ‘leche’. have you tried the Nescafe Caramel Macchiato? For only 20php, it’s sure to perk up your day.

My colleague said that it’s yummy. Parang luto lang daw sa SWESSzerland but it could have been yummier if they put SWESS chez cut by a SWESS knife.

Ikaw na, kuya. Ikaw na talaga!

I don’t like my handwriting.

Well, it’s not hideous. You’d still be able to understand it, but it’s still not like that of someone who went to an exclusive all-girls school. I dare you to check the penmanship of your Assumptionista and Paulinian friends. :p Fine, it ain’t always true. I have a friend from assumption who writes as if she’s half doctor, half chicken. Mwahaha.

Anyhoo, my fellow recruiters attended a schoolfair and one applicant stood out- his handwriting, at least.

O di’ba?!!??? Sabi nga nila parang Mara Clara font lang daw!

He’s a boy so X to him going to an exlusive school for girls. He might have wanted to attend one? Or maybe he’s a Fine Arts student? Ewan. Basta, award talaga si kuya.

That’s it. Just sharing. 😛
