Seen. Heard. Literally.

So I’ve been told that I’m in the latest ish of Playboy Phils.

Not as a bunny, you idiot. I need to triple, maybe even quadruple my chest size to become one. Anywaaaaayyy… it’s because Joko, Kas, Carlo and I went to their wine and cheese party in Barcino last February. I don’t have a copy of their latest issue yet (slash 2nd anniv ish,) but I do hope I look fine – if not fantastic – in the glossies.

I’ll settle for these photos:

Haha, I just found out from Kas that these are not the pics in Playboy. *whew* Good thing I didn’t buy it.

Mikiboo is now one of the deejays of NU 107. She’s in this radio prog called Ballad of The Times. It was her 2nd time to dj there last Thursday night and it was a joy to listen to her. You go, my little bighalfbrit star!!! I’m mighty proud of you! Today, dj-ing! Tomorrow, vj-ing! Woooot!

Miki, if you’re reading this, can I request Paris is Burning by Lady Hawk? :p

Ejay and his co-instructors were featured last night in Jessica Soho’s prog. It was a summer epi and it had a segment about surfing without going faaaaaaar awaaaay from the metro. Hence, they showed Surf Coach Eej in action. =)

Ampogi ni bf sa tv! Hehehe. :p

Speaking of surfing, another surfbud (gahd, the way I talk as if I surf din, ang feeling, hehe) was featured in a mag. Luke’s in this month’s ish of 24/7 Nocturnal Navigator. He’s in the article, Surf’s Up: Advice From The Expert.

Expert? Huwaw! Nakanaaaaang! WTG, Lukiiiieee! =)

Wait, wait!

I’m now also seen in twitter.

And in tumblr.

When life gives you lemons, tomorrow, it will hand you a glass of lemonade.

I stopped blaming the universe for the big pile of crap in my life. I figured, half of it is my fault and the other half I can blame on incompetent powertripping Filipinos, the traffic in EDSA, scarcity of goodlooking straight men, and global warming.

Silly that I got drunk last Vday and cried my eyes out the following morning. Silly that I let myself think I am inadequate and undesirable when I know I got a kickass attitude and killer legs to match. LOL. It’s time to count my blessings again.

The parentals love me more than I deserve. Mama celebrated her 57th last 22nd and she didn’t whack me for not taking her shopping. Ma and Da were just happy to have me home last weekend to enjoy the ihaw-ihaw.

Pat Montojo did it again. My stalker/blogfan/secret admirer sent me a DSLR! FYI, Dill my digicam is broken beyond repair. (Well, beyond warranty actually.) I’m steady with nothing and happy with a regular camera. So just imagine my glee when I opened the LBC package and saw Bruce inside! Yep, I named my slr Bruce. 🙂 Batman forever!

The go-go friends are still on the go! Had dinner with Carla, Joko, and Katie last Thursday in Pia Y Damaso. Must eat their callos, chicken pastel, Sisa’s Dementia, and Maria Cheesecake again! Playboy Wine and Cheese Party last night in Barcino with Joko, Carlo, Kassy, and Jessie. Saw Virg and Sergi and met Ancie. Fun, fun, fun!

This weekend, will go to a Rotaract event. Sportsfest of some sort. Civic duties, kam on!

My skin is clearing up and I’m getting whiter everyday. My eyes are slanting up and I lost count of how many times I’ve been called chinita this month. Haha. I don’t know what’s happening but I like it.

It pays to be happy or it pays to act the part. I’m not acting now, though. I am happy. As always, I know I can be happier. With the lemon theory in mind, I know I can be. 🙂

Will blog some pics soon.

If you wanna see them now, check my multiply and facebook. 🙂

Eat (tapas), drink (vino), and be merry (in Barcino)!

Thank you universe for giving me a reward last Friday night for the endurance I exhibited from Monday morning to Friday afternoon. But please let me never conduct background investigation, undergo dysmenorrhea, and miss precious time of sleep ever again. If that’s not possible, then just let me be with Oryx in Barcino again!

hot savory chicken livers * instant canape!

After dindin in Figaro and drinks in 32nd Street, Oryx brought me to the small wonder that is Barcino. Love the space! Love the ambiance! Love the wine! Love the music! Love the food! For someone like me whose knowledge of wine is close to zilch, Barcino is a good place to learn and enjoy vino. I had a delightful ruby-red tempranillo with a platter of tapas. There were potato salad with olives, jamon serrano, chorizo, bread with salsa, cheese, and some tasty sausages called fuet. :p Oryx had some chicken liver something with his white wine.

with Oryx * awesome foursome

I was lucky enough to meet the marketing manager, Virginia Lopez Cojo and co-owner, Sergi Rostoll. They were kind enough to tell me basic stuff about wine, tapas, and Spain. I will go back because I want to try other kinds of red wine, their bacalao and paella. And because I enjoyed that night so much and I can’t wait to enjoy that much (and more) again. Hopefully, in the Ortigas branch next time.

Salut to more casual, chill nights in Barcino!
