Carbo and Friends

Here are the pics from the eve of July 9.

Wabi-Sabi Ramen * 90php goodness
I liked it better than their pho, but I wish the soup could be tastier. =)

Wabi-Sabi Ban Mi * can’trememberhowmuch :p
This I liked. Like an Asian salad between halves crusty bread. Pero mas gusto ko pa rin ‘yung nasa Morong! 😛

Over-exposed shot from Paolo and Nicole’s birthday party @ Handlebar
Surfers kami. Bwahahaha!

Playing in front of Handlebar with these people helped me burn the calories.
Belated happy birthday, Paolo…

and Nicole!

Rockin’ Nicole of General Luna 🙂

Ramen + Loveteam + Home > Usher’s Abs

I didn’t go to Usher’s concert last night. Instead, I attended a tweet-up at Wabi-Sabi and went to Paolo&Nicole’s birthday celeb at Handlebar.

I was “shy” in the first 15 minutes of the tweet-up because I didn’t know any of the people there. Sort of except for Thomas, who was anti-social for 9/10’s of the event. Anyway,  yaaaay I got to eat the Ramen in my 3rd attempt! Three is indeed a lucky number!  (Check out Ramen attempt Fail 1 and Fail 2) Loved the ramen! It’s better than their pho in my humble, zero-culinary-knowledge opinion. The Ban Mi Was also good, but I still prefer the ones here in Morong, Bataan because of the presence of liver spread. 🙂 Thomas made bawi (forgive my english-ing, haha) and treated Grace (aka divasoria) and I in B-side. 🙂 <—–  Cranvodka always does this to me– also talking about boys and how stupid and insensitive they are. LOL.

After my 3rd experience in Collective, I went to Handlebar for more alcohol and to share the fun with the awesome couple, Paolo Soler and Nicole Laurel. I was in the mood to listen to kickass rock and roll and Nicole’s band General Luna delivered. Sinosikat and Wally dela Cruz were also there for guaranteed kickass rockin’ and rollin’! Funfunfun times with the friends! I wanted to stay longer, but the besty had to leave because she had a surf trip early Sat and I had to wake up early to go home.

And yep, I am home. I’m in Bataan now with Mama and Daddy.

All the aforementioned are greater than Usher.

But I still wish one of my friends who attended the concert touched his abs for me.

Handlebar with The NFF and GF

I only got my camphone back this afternoon so here are the only photos I got from last night using G’s phone.

Note to self: never go to a gig without a digicam.

Another note to self: buy a digicam soon.

You can’t see it clearly, neither can I, but that’s Kjwan and They.Are.Awesome.

That’s NFF Giacomo (I call him G. sapakan na lang kung Gio itawag ko sa kanya), GF Karina (she looks like Nicole of PCD) and ME.

That’s all. Picture update. Sa mga pinagkaka-utangan ko ng picture ni Marc Abaya, wait lang. Hehe.

Heat and Headache

I woke up with a blasted headache. I don’t know if this is because I ate too many Oreos at G’s place or drank beer last night at Handlebar (great show by Kjwan, btw) or because I slept with my hair still damp from the mandatory midnight shower.

The moment I stepped out of the house, I felt my scalp getting burned by the sun. Seriously, Haring Araw, what the hell is your problem? We get it. You’re a colossal cosmic god. You have nothing more to prove. Please don’t give me another heatstroke.

As I walked to Dian corner Finlandia to get a cab, I saw a newspaper with the headline: INC Endorses Noynoy-Mar Tandem. I am utterly disappointed appalled. I have not talked to one INC member that is for Noynoy, and mind you I already talked to a lot. It sucks that they would have to sacrifice their personal preference to vote the candidates their church dictates. Former candidates INC supported? Ferdinand Marcos, Joseph Estrada and Gloria Arroyo. Hmmm… I see a common denominator. Do you?

Gaaaahh.

Echo, WRU?

I love my friends and I support them in their endeavours. Most of the friends I am frequently with are surfers, and so I go with them to surfspots and attend surf activities (with all my poser terms and moves) every chance I get. Last night, however, I shamelessly admit, I went to Handlebar not primarily to cheer for Ejay, Lor and Jef for winning in the recently concluded Zambapalooza. I attended the MSA party in the hopes that I will see Jericho Rosales.

So sue me. Eh sa gusto ko magpapicture with him eh.

Anyhoodles, Echo-frustration and babyscare aside, I enjoyed the night! Yaaay for my superlarge bacon and egg sandwich and salad and fries! Double Yaaay for the music of Tempestous Jones. Triple Yaaay for seeing a longlost college friend, Sharon Sager! And loads of love to Joko, Kwe, Kas, Ejay, Mio, James, Lor, Paolo, Jef and Nicole!

Me, Joko, Jef, Paolo, Ejay, Kassy and Joren

Dear Tito Pare Pao, nasaan na si Echo? Nasaan na??? xoxo Tunnel Master Iya
