If you can’t play, display.

Check out the coconut trees. Yep.

Ilusyonadang arf arf.

Malamang si Enzo ang tinitignan ni Doggie. First time nga palang magsurf ni Enzo niyan.

Bahahahahahahahaha!

And this is with me with my girls and Britney the surfboard.

I love Baler. Ang sulit ng pagkain. Nomnomnom. Mabuhay ang Bay’s Inn!

After lumamon, magkape.

I suck.

Luke is the second famous surfer who thinks I surf. When told that I don’t–I really don’t– he gave an expression that could only be translated into “WEH?!?!???” Hahaha!!! The other guy felt betrayed when I told him I’m scared shitless of waves. Bakit ba? :p

Anyhoodles, I’m sorta flattered that they think I surf. I love their chill lifestyle and oh-so-(effortless)sexy porma. If I weren’t so scared of getting drowned, surfing would be the fitness activity of my choice. 🙂

I’m going to Baler this Friday. Hehe.

Advanced happy weekend! 🙂

Siege of Baler Kick-off Party

I, being the self-proclaimed surf-poseur in my barkada, partied with long-boarders, short-boarders and fellow poseurs (hehe, sorry, inside joke) in Casa Nami last night. The Siege of Baler Surf Competition’s kick-off party featured Blackstone and NATF. Loved the moments when the crowd went wild singing along to hits like Highway to Hell (AC/DC), With or Without You (U2) and Don’t Stop Believing (Journey). :p

I bet the surf comp in Baler this weekend will be crazy! Goodluck to Joko and Linc who both registered. Zoe, compete na rin! 🙂 Believe in the Wahine power! :p I hope Joko wins the surfboard. I don’t know why she needs 3 boards, but I support her positive vibrations that she will win in the raffle!

*sigh* If I weren’t so afraid (the apt term maybe, is traumatized) of being in the water (baths not included pffft), I would have chosen surfing as my sport. Three reasons:

1. I have impeccable balance. Or so, I’d like to believe.

2. I need an arrant reminder to stay fit and (ahem) sexy.

3. I envy the laid back lifestyle my surfer buddies have. Yes, I’m talking about you Joko, Kwe, Mio, Tingpats, Lorraine, Joey, Paolo, Luke, Kassy, Allan James, Zoe, Richard, Jef, Lorre, Marge and Ejay!!! taga-picture n’yo na lang ako habangbuhay! *tear*

Anyhoodles, here are the pics from last night! Sorry for the red-eye shots! :p If you want better photos, check out the FB page of LokalSoul. 🙂

Allan James (na mag-aartista na. LOL), the Wahines Joko and Zoe, Coach Ejay and Linc Ong.

Brian, Coach Lorraine, Levi, Manong Joey and Joko (Brian is Joko’s soon to be offering to babybunny Kwe, ang Prinsesa ng Camarines Norte)

Zoe, why are you with these delightful crazy ladies? WHY?

Casa Nami’s buffalo wings, you’re so hothotHOT! And soooo goooood with ice cold beer!

Mio, Me and Allan James (si Paolo Soler aligaga kagabi hindi maka-stay put for picture taking)

Spot the non-surfer. Yes, my espasol look is a give away. :p

Poseur-fail. Haha.

The Ultimate Wahine Surf Champ!

Congratulations to my original baby bunny, Joko for winning 1st place in the Wahine Surf Comp last Sunday at Club Manila East. Sabi ko na nga ba, hindi talaga ako dapat pumunta sa Paranaque or sa Legaspi Sunday Market so that I can watch her compete.

Coach Lorraine, Marcella, Jayzel, Joko, Zoe, Coach Ejay, Jam and Coach Paolo

I’m so proud of her because I know she worked damn hard to achieve this. Sabi nga ni Joko, bunnyness is sexyness with oomph. The oomph being being uupakan kita if you piss me off. 🙂 Awww… I taught her well. Surfing and being badass. LOL

The Bunny Family! Joko, Kwe and Me! :p

Woohoo! Interview with Sports Unlimited! She DED it! Hahaha!

With one of the judges, THE Luke Landrigan. Surf God with the mantra, EAT SURF RED HORSE BOOM 2x And I with the duck lipshhh.

Bunny/Piglet/Lizard power!!!

Congrats again Joko! We love you!

But wait! There’s more!

Echo, WRU?

I love my friends and I support them in their endeavours. Most of the friends I am frequently with are surfers, and so I go with them to surfspots and attend surf activities (with all my poser terms and moves) every chance I get. Last night, however, I shamelessly admit, I went to Handlebar not primarily to cheer for Ejay, Lor and Jef for winning in the recently concluded Zambapalooza. I attended the MSA party in the hopes that I will see Jericho Rosales.

So sue me. Eh sa gusto ko magpapicture with him eh.

Anyhoodles, Echo-frustration and babyscare aside, I enjoyed the night! Yaaay for my superlarge bacon and egg sandwich and salad and fries! Double Yaaay for the music of Tempestous Jones. Triple Yaaay for seeing a longlost college friend, Sharon Sager! And loads of love to Joko, Kwe, Kas, Ejay, Mio, James, Lor, Paolo, Jef and Nicole!

Me, Joko, Jef, Paolo, Ejay, Kassy and Joren

Dear Tito Pare Pao, nasaan na si Echo? Nasaan na??? xoxo Tunnel Master Iya

With my girls and The Paolo Soler of PSA hehe (kelan kaya si The Jericho ang kasama sa pic? :P)

Oh well, tara na, TUNNEL na tayo!

Seen. Heard. Literally.

So I’ve been told that I’m in the latest ish of Playboy Phils.

Not as a bunny, you idiot. I need to triple, maybe even quadruple my chest size to become one. Anywaaaaayyy… it’s because Joko, Kas, Carlo and I went to their wine and cheese party in Barcino last February. I don’t have a copy of their latest issue yet (slash 2nd anniv ish,) but I do hope I look fine – if not fantastic – in the glossies.

I’ll settle for these photos:

Haha, I just found out from Kas that these are not the pics in Playboy. *whew* Good thing I didn’t buy it.

Ejay and his co-instructors were featured last night in Jessica Soho’s prog. It was a summer epi and it had a segment about surfing without going faaaaaaar awaaaay from the metro. Hence, they showed Surf Coach Eej in action. =)

Status: Seen

Luke told us last night that our I Love Carla pics from LU were posted in an online mag.

Carla and I were surprised and a half because we had no idea how it got there. Well, aside from the fact that the article was about Luke Landrigan. Anyhoodles, I just saw the pics. That’s me, Carla, Luke, and the I Love Carla sign alright. A link to my blog underneath. Yaaaay for acknowledgement!

Check out statusmagonline.

It’s a great read! And I’m not just saying because I got my pretty (smug) face in one of the articles.

The Fast & Furious Baguio Trip

Joko nailed the Baguio-LU trip description in her latest FB note, Amazing and Bitin! True, true! Last weekend was fantastic in different levels and I wish me and the go-go friends can do it again soon!

*****

Amazing: The energy I possessed to pack my things and get to the meeting place Shell-Emerald on time when I only had 8 hours of sleep—accumulated in 3 days. Didn’t even get to sleep much in the trip, maybe because I had too much fun with Kass, Kwe, Maia, Ejay and Daryl in NLEX teasing Richard about overtaking cars, trucks, and jeeps.

Bitin: After dropping our things off in Bauang (where Kwe’s ancestral house is/our home for 2 days), Maia and the boys went to San Juan for the MSA Competition (Ejay competed) while Kwe, Kass, and I went to Baguio to reunite with the LLs Joko and Carla who got there a day ahead. Because there were no aircon buses available and we didn’t want to keep the LLs (Lesbian Lovers) waiting, we decided to take the hataw bus instead.

lunch @ Cafe by the Ruins * boat ride with the go-go girls

Amazing: We proved that there really is a God because we made it to Baguio alive despite the extreme hatawness of the hatawbus driver. Following Carlo “The Baguio Authority” Errazo’s itinerary, us girls had our brunch in Café by the Ruins. Mmmmmm bacon, daing, French toast, eggs and eggs and eggs, fresh fruit shakes, and probably the best panna cotta I’ve ever tasted. They forced me to order the Spanish omelet with foccacia by the way. Hehe.

Bitin: We went to Rizal Park, Burnham Park, and Central Market after for the boat ride (na nagmistulang kami ang tourist attraction dahil ang tindi naming makatili at makasigaw), belts and wallets shopping (got me a shiny red balloon… made me darn easy to find in the crowd! :P), and hoarding of Mikasan Chocoflakes, Tamtanco Lengua de Gato (better than Good Shepherd’s, so glad I listened to CB!), and Patience Bugnay. Didn’t get to go to the other spots we planned on visiting because we were all itching to be in LU already. And and and, the ukay-ukay sucked. Presyong Maynila na. So that’s one item forever crossed out from my Baguio list.

n525741617_1758291_3712 n525741617_1758294_4654

feeling Ang TV kids * shiny ref balooon

Amazing: Roadtrip to LU was funfunfun because Jake’s so pogi, even if Kwe wants to turn him into blackgirlcar by attempting to rename him Shaniqua. Wtf? Hehe. Funfunfun 1 ½ hours of chocolate mints, kulitan, and 90’s music by DJ Carla na kinarir talaga ang dancesteps ng The Sign, Always, at Tootsie Roll!

Bitin: Because the surfer girls couldn’t wait to get stoked, we went straight to San Juan. Uh no no, we went to Mc Do first for merienda. This is where Carla and I realized na mag-LL rin ang mga bituka namin. So what’s bitin about this? Kasi after eating, masama pa loob namin and we were thinking of what to eat next and we were already wishing it was dinner already! Gluttony rocks! But not as much as my friends rock. Haha, senti! :p

*****

Amazing and Bitin: Check out the second part of my 1st ever road trip with my Go-Go Friends in the next entry.
